Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance: Castle Rock Landing on the Cowlitz Master Planned Mixed Use Development Excavation & Mass Grading Permit (Apr 2022). On November 8, 2021, the Castle Rock City Council approved the Castle Rock Landing on the Cowlitz as a Master Planned Mixed Use Development subject to conditions. The development is proposed as a mixed use master plan with a site area of approximately 118 acres. The subject of this application is the mass grading of the Landing site, along with grading activities on the adjacent Department of Natural Resources (DNR) site to the south. The mass grading action will move approximately 1,218,000 CY of material within the two property. Documents provided at the link below:

On November 8, 2021, the Castle Rock City Council approved the Castle Rock Landing on the Cowlitz as a Master Planned Mixed Use Development subject to conditions. - Proposed Mixed Use Master Planned Development Public Hearing Notice and Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (Aug 2021). The City has received and evaluated an application for a master planned mixed-use development on approximately 118 acres zoned Industrial, generally located at the southern end of Castle Rock between the BNSF rail line and Salmon Creek to the east, the Cowlitz River to the west, and the Timberline Church to the north.
- Proposed Residential Condominium Development 441 Front Avenue NW (Jun 2021). The City of Castle Rock has received an application from the owner of parcel #30216 located at 441 Front Avenue NW to construct a residential condominium with 8 dwelling units on a 1.95-acre parcel zoned High Density Residential (R-2). Written comments on the proposed project and/or this SEPA Threshold Determination, must be received at Castle Rock City Hall, 141 A Street SW, Castle Rock WA 99611, no later than Monday June 28 at 4:00 pm. - The City of Castle Rock adopted Ordinance No. 2011-08, adopting interim zoning controls regarding medical marijuana collective gardens for a period of six months while the city drafts, considers, holds hearings and adopts detailed collective garden regulations. The interim ordinance allows for a collective garden to be sited in the C-2, Highway Business Zoning District, subject to meeting siting requirements.
